Holidays "Holidays are very special at The Things I Love". As the seasons change, so does the entire look of the shop. You will find everything you need to decorate your home for all the seasons. As hearts and red roses give way to shamrocks and leprechauns, it isn't very long until the bunnies and spring flowers make their way to Battle Street and The Things I Love. Before you know it, it's Summer and the red, white, and blue is in full glory throughout the shop. As Summer fades, the brilliance of Autumn comes alive with Fall florals, pumpkins, gourds and turkeys. But the most spectacular is saved for last ..Christmas! The entire shop becomes a magical holiday wonderland with 17 trimmed trees and hundreds of santas, snowmen, and angels. You won't want to miss a single season at The Things I Love! |
A Little History The Things I Love is located in a turn-of-the-century building that offers seven decorated rooms including a second story screened in porch and sunroom as well as a lovely garden and back patio. The parlor, dining room, kitchen, bedroom & bathroom are filled with lovely home accessories and gifts appropriate to each room. Built in 1875, The Things I Love is located in the oldest existing storefront in Manassas. It was originally the Misses Hazen's Millinery Shop. As was common in the late 1800's, the family ran their business in the front and lived in the rest of the two-story building. In 1903, the building was moved from Center Street so that the Peoples National Bank could be built. Owner Joanne Wunderly began her business in 1997 in the 300 square foot front room. Since then, she has had 3 expansions and The Things I Love now has more than 1800 square feet of space. |
